Frequently Asked Questions
- When I start the analyzer, nothing happens.
- Make sure that you have java installed correctly. The analyzer requires at least java version 1.5 to run.
- When I'm starting the analyzer it says 'The client was unable to retrieve the playlist 'Equalized' from iTunes.'
- Make sure that you have created a playlist in iTunes called 'Equalized' and check the spelling, the name of the playlist is case sensitive.
- I can run the analyzer, but it crashes when it's analyzing a song.
- We are still working on this issue, but you can help us out by sending us a bug report using the information under 'contact' down this page.
- I can't upload the data from the analyzer.
- The analyzer uses wifi (wireless network) to upload data. Make sure that your iPod and the computer on which you are running the analyzer are on the same wireless network.
- I analyzed some songs and uploaded them to my device, but in the music picker, they appear with a red circle around them.
- This could be because the playlist didn't refresh correct in the music picker, restarting the game helps in this case. Sometimes something goes wrong with the analyzation. This might be caused by songs which have an irregular BPM or don't have an identifiable beat. We are constantly improving our analyzer so don't forget to check for an update every now and then.
- I have only one song in my playlist, but in the music picker it's showing up several times.
- When you scroll through the music library, the items in the list get cycled. So when you reach the end of your list, it starts at the beginning again. That's why a song is copied multiple times when you have only one song in your playlist.
Contact
If you are still having problems or if you have another question, you can contact us on this e-mail adress:
equalized@grendel-games.com
To help us identify any problems, we're asking you to include a few things in your e-mail: Information about your operating system, error messages and, if possible, a bug report. You can create a bug report by browsing to the folder where you installed the equalized song analyzer and run 'Run in debug mode.bat' in the 'DEBUG' folder. This opens an extra window with extra information and errors, which can be copied and pasted into the e-mail or in a seperate text file.
